EXPECTATION OR CONSTRAINT?

Many societies have high standards of being a “good girl”, but all those expectations and judgments may become constraints. I chose Barbie to be the leading role of my work because she is a well-known image of a beautiful young woman yet very controversial. Many children consider Barbie a role model and attempt to emulate her. However, Barbie’s body image is unrealistic and girls who emulate her might get health problems. Also, many girls might have been treated like a Barbie lots of times, been played and undressed when needed and been thrown away when guys think they are not fun anymore.
